My Goals for 2015

February 16, 2015 by Sarah

Since February is already half over, I’m not even going to worry with evaluating how I did on my 2014 goals.  Let’s just say that I ended the year in survival mode, but I don’t feel too bad about it.  We added another person to our family, after all, so I was just trying to figure out life with a preschooler, toddler, and a baby in the house.  No small task, if you ask me.

Now that we’re much more adjusted and I’m a lot less sleep-deprived, I thought it was time to think about goal-setting for this year.  I plan to handle goals a little differently this year.  My thought is to use these yearly goals as a launching point, but create monthly goals that are more actionable and specific that will help me reach these yearly goals.

I’m planning to post my monthly goals at the beginning of the month with specific action items and any special things I hope to accomplish or work on during the month.  Then, at the end of the month, I’ll post how I did.  We’ll see how this works this year!

Marriage
1.  Enjoy 1 date night each month
2.  Read a minimum of 2 marriage books
3.  Enjoy 1 weekend away and/or attend 1 marriage conference
Mothering
4.  Enjoy 1 parent/child date night each month {alternate parent/child each month}
5.  Read a minimum of 2 parenting books
Personal
6.  Begin a weight-loss plan to loose pregnancy weight
7.  Read a minimum of 1 book a month
8.  Make Bible reading/prayer a daily habit
9.  Get 7 hours of sleep a night
Blogging
9.  Set up “blogging hours” and stick to them
10.  Plan posts out at least 2 weeks in advance

Financial
11.  Fully-fund our emergency fund {6 months of living expenses}
12.  Increase retirement contributions

Are you a goal setter?
