7 Years Without Him

September 10, 2016 by Sarah

This post is late and I have to be honest and tell you that I have some guilt about it.  Sometimes I wonder if there's any point in sharing about our sweet firstborn, since many who read here may not even know our story.  But, the mother in me wants his memory to always remain alive, even if it's just in our home, with friends, or and on this blog. Andrew's birthday was on a Sunday, so we had … [Read more...]

6 Years Without Him

August 10, 2015 by Sarah

I can hardly wrap my head around the fact that our firstborn would have been 6 years old on Friday.  As I mentioned in the video that I posted on my Facebook page, we celebrated Andrew's birthday the day before, since we had some plans with family who were in town on his actual birthday. Songs for a Grieving Mother

March 26, 2014 by Sarah

I don't know about you, but music has always touched to me.  I may not know all the latest artists and songs, but in times of trial and in times of celebration, there's nothing like finding a good song to express exactly what I'm thinking or feeling. I stumbled upon a song that ministered to me so much after we lost our first son, Andrew, and it brought to mind that time of my life.  I couldn't … [Read more...]

Naming our Second Little Boy in Heaven

March 6, 2014 by Sarah

One of the things that the Lord placed on my heart after our recent miscarriage was to give our little one a name.  Since we lost our first child, Andrew, so late in my pregnancy, we had already named him and there was certainly no going back.  I'm glad we had already decided on a name, otherwise I might have been too confused during my grief to know whether it was appropriate to name a … [Read more...]
