1. Have a date night with Kevin.
We were able to have an at-home date night. We watched a movie at home and just relaxed, which was nice.
2. Paint the upstairs bath closet.
NOPE. This one did not happen. Will try again this month.
3. Research new pediatricians.
I have found a new pediatrician for the kids who comes recommended and does take our insurance. They are also close to our home. I’m still not completely sure whether I’ll make the switch, but I’m glad that I was able to do the research in case we do.
4. Do another freezer cooking session.
This went well and was a huge help with mealtime. I didn’t have time to get creative and try new meals, but the 6 meals I prepped were still yummy.
5. Take Brady out for a Mommy/son date.
FAIL. This one didn’t happen this month, but needs to happen this next month. I need to plan for these outings in our budget and get them on the calendar early before things get too crazy.
6. Research options for gym memberships.
I started this, but didn’t really finish completely. I found out about a really affordable option, but would like to investigate prices at our local YMCA and maybe 1 other gym before making any decisions.
I finished up this book and was able to discuss it with my friend when we met up recently. It was a great read.
8. Work a minimum of 10 hours each week on the blog.
As evidenced by my lack of posts in March, this has definitely not happened. During spring break week, I spent some time planning out some posts to get ahead a little bit, so I’m hoping that will help me jump start things and get back into more regular/consistent posting. I miss blogging when I don’t do it! I still want to figure out blogging hours and build that into my schedule so that it just becomes part of my week.
1. Have a date night with Kevin.
A monthly date night is one of my 2015 goals, so this will always appear on the list. We’ve got quite a few gift cards that are burning a hole in our pockets for date nights. We’re hoping to get something on the calendar soon.
2. Read Made to Crave.
This has been on my list of books to read for a while now, but I figured this was a good month to start it since #5 is already on my radar.
3. Take Brady out for a Mommy/son date.
I still want to take this little guy out for a special date night with Mommy. We went out the other day to run a couple of errands together and it was so nice to have him to myself. I know a special date with him will be so nice!
4. Paint the upstairs bath closet & pick a date for Dad to come down and install bead board.
For some reason, the upstairs bath project seems to have slowed to almost a stop. I’m determined to push through so that we can get it finished up this summer before I attempt to potty train Brady. For once, the money is not the hold up. We just need to get it done!
5. Make final decision on gym memberships/weight loss strategy.
I want to call at least 2 other places for gym memberships before we make a decision. I also want to research and think through some strategies for better eating. It probably sounds silly to have to make this a goal, but my own health tends to take a backseat with all the busyness of life. It’s sad, I know, but it’s true. I’m familiar with Weight Watchers and have had success in the past, but I’m somewhat “over” having to track points. I don’t do well with just “eating well” on my own, so I know I need a strategy to keep me in line, but I’m just not sure which one that should be during this season of life. It must be low cost as well.
6. Complete a few outside/yard projects.
I’d like to spend a little time and money on basic yard work/outside home projects. We need some fresh mulch and I’d like to get rid of some of the “junk” that’s piling up in our back yard. Nothing major, but just some springtime “chores.”
7. Do another freezer cooking session.
This will hopefully be a monthly goal. I’m convinced that this is the way to go. Prepping 5 or 6 meals ahead makes a huge difference during the month. Slow cooker meals are preferred! 🙂
8. Get Davis situated in his new room.
Now that Davis is moved into the room with Savannah, I’d like to do a few minor things to give him his own little space in the room. The furniture has been up there since before he was born since his clothes are up there, but I’d like to try and make his little corner of the room a little more boyish and have it separated from her space. I’ve spotted some cute bedding at Target already and probably need to scour Pinterest for some ideas on how to make it work without having to repaint walls and spend a lot of money.

You did a great job tackling some goals with three little ones! My youngest is now 2 and I feel like maybe I can get some stuff done – haha 🙂 I am eager to see more of your bathroom progress! Good luck!
