May End of the Month Grocery Budget Challenge

May 22, 2014 by Sarah

Lately, I've been tinkering with our grocery budget.  Since our grocery budget includes food as well as our toiletries, household product, and diapers, it can sometimes get a little tricky.  I'm not ready to divide the categories up at this point, but I may give that a try at some point to see if that method works better. Long story short, when I looked at the calendar and our grocery … [Read more...]

Walgreens Trip – 6/17

June 19, 2013 by Sarah

While my in-laws were in town, I had some time to get out and run some errands by myself.  I usually try to limit my errands with the kids to 1 store and perhaps a couple of drive through errands such as the post office or bank.  If I have to go to more than 1 store, I will try to wait until the evening when I don't have to get them in and out of the car multiples times.  … [Read more...]

Since I posted about my trip to Walgreens last week, I figured that I better give a shout out to CVS as well!  As I mentioned before, I love CVS and it is definitely my favorite of all the national drug store chains (I have yet to try Rite Aid, so I can't say much about that one). Before I show you exactly what I bought this week, here are some of the reasons why I love CVS so much (in no … [Read more...]

Life on a Teacher’s Salary – Walgreens 2/1

February 2, 2012 by Sarah

In case you haven't gathered this already, I have become quite fond of couponing!  I am by no means "extreme" like you see on the cable show, but I have enjoyed learning how to be a better steward of our money.  I also view it as a challenge to try and stretch our income as far as it will go!  And in case you haven't given couponing a try, it's actually kind of addicting!  … [Read more...]
