After we slipped into some fresh clothes, we headed to the Black Bean Company for some lunch! April and Mary had heard/read some good things about it, but we were a little shocked when the GPS took us to a Medical Building in Mt. Pleasant. It was one of their express locations, but I’m so glad that it’s smaller location didn’t deter us. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Salad and it was fantastic. We all loved our meals and could not stop raving about it. The ingredients were so fresh, flavorful, filling, and priced reasonably. I would recommend it to anyone.
Once we had full bellies, we headed over to the Maritime Center in Charleston for our Charleston Harbor Cruise. I tried to take some pictures, but they either were too far away to see anything or they didn’t turn out. It was a nice tour and good to hear some of the history of the harbor {Kevin would have been in heaven}, but it got a little long towards the end. There is only so much you can really see from the water and we were pretty tired at that point. The sun does that to you, ya know?
Since we were already in Charleston, we went ahead and stopped by Handpicked, a cute jewelry store that Christina had recommended. I bought some earrings {sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, but I’m too tired to retake it} and Mary and April got some cute pieces as well. I was actually on the hunt for a neon pink necklace to go along with my neon pink shorts from this post, but I wasn’t able to find exactly what I wanted. I actually fell in love with one of Mary’s necklaces after the fact, so I may try and find it on their website and order it for myself.
After only 2 stores, I was hurting pretty bad from my sunburn and I was thankful that the girls were ready to head back to Summerville for the night. I needed some aloe and some Ibuprofen to help with the soreness! After we had some dinner, we had a fun time playing some cards and jamming to some 80’s tunes. It was a great way to end a great day!
Stop back tomorrow to hear about our final day in Charleston.
