Even though I’m years and years away from Savannah or Brady going to college, I can’t help but get a little nostalgic when August rolls around and students start heading off to college. I remember how excited I was each fall to see all my friends again and begin a new year with new classes and professors. Those were some of the best years of my life!
But, let’s be honest…college is not cheap. In fact, it’s downright EXPENSIVE!
When I was entering college, one of the biggest surprise expenses was the cost of textbooks. It was both alarming and depressing to see how much money was spent on books that I would mostly likely never touch again after the semester was over…that is until I went to sell them back and got practically nothing for them. That was oftentimes my Christmas present money!
So, when I was contacted by Campus Book Rentals to do this post, I was really excited. I’ve honestly never heard of the textbook rental concept until just recently, but I think it’s simply genius! I wish I had thought of it.
Some of the perks of renting textbooks through Campus Book Rentals include:
* Save 40-90% off bookstore prices
* Free shipping both ways
* Can highlight in the textbook
* Flexible renting periods
* 21 day risk free returns if you drop the class, order the wrong book, or simply change your mind.
* Can choose to purchase your book later after you’ve rented it
* Donation is made to Operation Smile with each textbook rented!

In addition, Campus Book Rentals has a new program called Rent Back. This new initiative gives students alternatives to the buy back options that currently offer very little money. Instead of selling their books back, students can rent the textbooks they own to other students and often make 2-4 times more money! I wish this had been around when I was in college.
If you are headed back to college yourself or know someone else who is, I’d encourage you to investigate Campus Book Rentals. Take a look at the video below for more details!
