One of my goals for this year is to read at least 12 books. I have always loved to read, but it’s been much harder to find the time since having children. But now that my kids are both sleeping through the night and we are in a pretty good rhythm, I’ve enjoyed getting back into some good reads. And I don’t know about you, but there is something about winter that brings out the inner reader in me.
Is there anything better than burying your nose in a good book while wrapped up in a warm blanket, sipping on a warm cup of a coffee?
I think not.
I thoroughly enjoyed the books from my fall reading list, so I’m looking forward to these next 3 books. My goal is to have them all finished by the end of March, and since I’ve already started 2 out of the 3, I think I’m in good shape to reach that goal.
Without further ado, here they are, in no particular order.
This ebook was recommended to me by Crystal Paine, the author of MoneySavingMom.com. She has raved about this book so much, even saying it’s been the most insightful book on blogging that she has ever read. That’s a pretty strong review, considering Crystal is a very successful blogger herself. This will be my first book on blogging and I’m looking forward to learning from Ruth.
I don’t think I’ve met anyone who had read this book and hasn’t said it’s been life changing. If the book is anywhere near as beautifully written as her blog, A Holy Experience, then I know I’m in for a treat.
My So-Called Life as a Submissive Wife: A One-Year Experiment…and Its Liberating Results
by Sara Horn
I heard about this book back in the fall, but never got around to reading it. The word submission is such a taboo words these days, and one I feel is grossly misunderstood. I’m excited to read about her year-long challenge and how it is impacting her own marriage.
