This no bake cookie recipe has been requested by friends numerous times – they are THAT good! They are quick and easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry!

I’ve made these no bake cookies a few times over the past couple of months and realized it was time I needed to share the recipe with you. There’s no reason to keep this easy and yummy recipe to myself any longer!
Ingredients:
1 tsp. vanilla
How to Make No Bake Cookies
Here’s what you’ll need to do.
In a medium saucepan*, bring to a boil: sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk.
After it starts boiling, remove from heat and quickly add: peanut butter, quick oats, and vanilla. Stir until oats are coated well {about 1 minute}.
Place immediately on wax paper* in a size of your choosing to cool. Yields: about 3 dozen.
The thing I love about these cookies is they are so simple and easy to whip up {especially since there is no baking required}, but they are yummy too. If we need a sweet treat at the last minute, then these are often our go-to.
**Note: I do not recommend you substitute regular oats in place of quick oats. The regular oats will not get cooked and you will essentially be eating raw oats. This didn’t seem to bother my husband, but it did a number on my jaw. Quick oats are the key to this one, in my opinion!
ENJOY!

Can you omit the peanut butter for those allergic to it?

Patricia, I'm honestly not sure how it would work without the peanut butter. I do have a friend who made a no-bake cookie using Biscoff spread {I don't know for sure if it was this exact recipe but it was very similar}, so maybe that would work in place of the peanut butter?

It's really funny to me when people post this as a new recipe! I've been making them since I was about 12 🙂 My recipe is very similar to yours and you accomplished one of my main goals when making them…that they come out shiny! They are definitley a favorite treat among my family and friends!

That is funny! A friend of mine from church said she made them as a kid as well, so I guess they have been around for awhile!! 🙂

You can also spread the mixture into an 8 x 8 glass dish (or larger) and cut into bar cookies once it has cooled.

That sounds like a great idea! I may try that next time! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

I'm hoping you will see this reply. Can you please let me know what videos you are seeing pop up? I don't have anything set to pop up, so I'd love to know what is showing up so I can try and resolve it. Thanks! 🙂

Great recipe!!! Mine is a little different from yours, I have been using my grandmas recipe from when my dad was younger. I adjusted that recipe to my liking and just before it has boiled for 1 minute I add in 1/3 C choc chips.
