Five on Friday

March 1, 2014 by Sarah

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

Today, I’m linking up for Five on Friday!  It’s been a great week!

{ONE}
Last week, Savannah had her first cleaning at the dentist.  She went with me the past couple of times and didn’t seem scared, but I wasn’t sure how she would do when it was her turn in the chair.  She did fantastically well, but our dentist warned us to start saving now for braces.  Apparently, she has an open bite, whatever that means!  ðŸ™‚

Our vehicle was in the shop for a couple of days this week, after deciding it didn’t want to be put in gear.  Thankfully, the shifting rod went out on me in front of a friend’s house and the friend works from home and was there so I could get out of the cold and make some calls.  I’m grateful for kind friends, auto mechanics, and savings accounts!
{THREE}
Last weekend, the weather was so nice and I got the urge to finish up a painting project.  Our bathroom door never got a fresh coat of paint before we moved in our home over a year and a half ago {which was right before our son was born}, but I decided Saturday was the day!  It looks so much better and it feels good to mark that off my to-do list.
{FOUR}
I got a surprise delivery from Thirty-One gifts this week.  When I opened it, I immediately knew it was from my sister.  It’s technically a coupon clutch, but when I called to thank her for it, she told me she figured I could actually use it for my cash envelopes.  She knows me well because I thought the same thing as soon as I saw it.  Now I can carry my envelopes in public in style!
{FIVE}
Our little man is learning some of his animal sounds and our little lady has watched a certain video {that has gone viral} a few too many times.  I love these guys more than I thought humanly possible!

Happy Friday, friends!

    Oh, car trouble is no fun! I know our cars will be happy when the weather warms up, they've had a rough winter! I and two of my siblings had braces–they're no fun but I am glad for the invention of them!

      I know! It's been a cold winter for our poor vehicles! Both Kev and I needed braces, so I'm not real surprised but at least we can start saving now! 🙂
