Thanksgiving 2014 Recap

November 29, 2014 by Sarah

The last couple of years, the school system has been giving everyone the day off on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  It’s definitely helped ease some of the pain of travelling the I-95 corridor for Thanksgiving.  We went up to Baltimore to spend the holiday with my family and had a great weekend.
There’s really not too much to report, except that we ate and relaxed a lot.  That was fine with me.
This little guy was the cutest thing ever.
He couldn’t even get through his meal before he was ready for a nap.
I learned the hard way to never wake a toddler who is asleep at the table.  I attempted to put him in the bed so he could finish his nap in comfort and it was a total fail.  We had a grouchy boy on our hands the rest of the day.  šŸ™
On Friday, we did get out to visit the local mall’s decorated Christmas tree and snapped a couple of pictures.  I usually enjoy a little Black Friday shopping, but I haven’t been able to get out in the craziness the past few years.  Kevin picked up a few really good deals for us though.
My mother threw Savannah and Kevin a little party since their birthdays were coming up and we wouldn’t all be together on their actual birthdays.  Who would have guessed that my sweet hubby would be eating a Frozen themed birthday cake to celebrate his birthday?  He’s such a trooper!
Aside from just enjoying the holiday, one of my main goals was to get a nice family picture for our Christmas card picture.  Let’s just say that we failed on numerous counts.
Here are some of our attempts, for your amusement.
Since Thanksgiving Day was a bust, we tried again on Friday.
We figured we’d give it one more try before giving up altogether.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner!
