Saying Goodbye to 2009

December 31, 2009 by Sarah

I've never been real into the ringing in of the new year. Sure, it's nice to spend time with friends and family, but the event itself has never been all that big of a deal to me. This year, I've actually been looking forward to the new year. Although 2009 was filled with so much joy over my pregnancy with Andrew, the ending was not what we had prepared for. In many ways, it's truly was a … [Read more...]

Christmas Without Andrew

December 27, 2009 by Sarah

Better late than never, right? I debated back and forth about including Andrew on our Christmas card this year, but just couldn't NOT include him. We did manage to get out yesterday evening in the indestructable Toyota 4x4. One thing I was determined to do was to write Andrew's name in the freshly-fallen snow. I copied the idea from some other angel … [Read more...]

Trip to the Blood Doctor

December 18, 2009 by Sarah

Today was my follow up appointment with my blood doctor regarding my low platelet levels. I saw him during my pregnancy with Andrew to make sure my levels were at least stable (he seemed to think it was pregnancy related since I've had no other symptoms of anything serious). I saw him again in September after my pregnancy to see if my levels had improved, and they were slightly up, but still not … [Read more...]
