Wow, it sure has been awhile since I’ve posted. Life has been super busy and I think it may finally be settling down for a bit. We shall see…
We are officially moved in with my grandmother. Kevin surprised me and decided we should move into her house back on February 12th (I thought we had agreed to moving out the next weekend). So, off we went! I was not prepared emotionally to never sleep in our old house again. As if mentally preparing myself would make a difference – ha! It actually turned out to be a good thing since it’s so much easier to pack up a house when you aren’t trying to live in it.
The following week and weekend was crunch time. We were packing like crazy during the weeknights after Savannah was in bed at my grandmother’s and were blessed by the help of some great friends who helped Kev move out the furniture that Saturday.
This past Friday, February 23rd was the scheduled closing day, when the house would officially no longer be ours! It was bittersweet at that point – I was so ready for the “work” of moving out to be over but still a little sad about leaving our first home where we made so many memories. As many real estate transactions go, we ended up not closing on the original date due to some lending hold ups on the buyer’s side. Luckily, things were resolved pretty quickly and they were able to close yesterday afternoon!
So, we are now officially in limbo. We are hoping things will go smoothly with the closing of our new home which is scheduled for mid-March, but at this point, I won’t feel relieved until I am sitting at the lawyer’s office sipping a Diet Coke and signing the papers! 🙂 I’ve realized one thing – ANYTHING can happen at ANY time!
Since we are living with my grandmother who doesn’t own a computer, we don’t have regular internet access. We are looking into options, but we may just have to do without until we move into our new home. (If any of you have any good ideas, please leave a comment). It’s one thing to be without internet, but it’s another to be without internet in the middle of a real estate transaction when documents are constantly needing signatures or lenders are constantly asking for documents from us! It’s been challenging, but where there is a will, there is a way, right?!!
We would definitely appreciate your prayers as we navigate through this next phase of the process! It’s been overwhelming, but the Lord has provided for us every step of the way. We know that nothing is a surprise to Him, which is such a comfort!
I hope you all have been well!

Sarah, if you or Kevin have a smarter-than-me-phone you can download the "PDA Net" app (on Droid) and the install the App on your computer, hook your phone to your computer using the USB port and you can connect to the internet through your phone (if you have internet on your smart phone which I think they pretty much require now). Here is the link http://junefabrics.com/android/
If you don't have a smartphone, well ummm I have no idea.
