Life With the Cousins

July 16, 2013 by Sarah

The later part of this past week was a whirlwind!  I posted about the Baltimore cousins arriving HERE and it was busy busy busy!  The funny thing is that we didn’t really do a whole lot, but having 1 pre-tween, 2 busy toddlers, and 1 crawling baby all under a 1450 sq. ft. house roof makes for quite a time!  Group bath time is always a fun option!

One day, we visited Kevin at the model home where he is working for the summer.  He gave us the tour and it was SOME.THING.ELSE!

If I were in a different phase of life and money were no option, the town homes in West Broad Village might just be my cup of tea!  It was fun to hear about the different features of the homes and to see what luxury living is like for many folks.  We capped off our day with dinner at Chick-fil-A.

The next day, we headed to Short Pump Town Center.  The little kids loved splashing around in the fountains while some of us did a little shopping.  I was able to score a couple of items for the kids at Crazy 8’s Semi-Annual sale!  Why can’t Ann Taylor Loft have a Semi-Annual Sale?  We totally forgot about that being Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A, but decided to eat there anyway for lunch.  You can’t eat too much chicken, can you?

We were bummed when they left Sunday morning before we left to go to church.  While I would definitely love to have my family live in town, it’s such a huge blessing that they are at least within a relatively short driving distance (depending on traffic – ha!).  Perhaps the weather will be more agreeable next time and we can do more things outside!

We will be spending another week together soon though!  The Outer Banks of North Carolina won’t know what hit it!
