School’s Out for Summer {at least for Savannah}

May 30, 2014 by Sarah

Even though summer doesn’t officially begin until my teacher husband is out of school for the summer {which is in 2 more weeks}, we are celebrating the beginning of summer a little early now that we have a cute little girl in preschool.

Let’s just say that I was a little emotional last week when I picked up Savannah for the last time this school year.  It’s all just going by too fast and I want for things to SLOW DOWN.

She had a fantastic year and could not have transitioned any better.  We are so thankful for a great teacher and a great first year of school for our little gal.  There wasn’t a single day that she cried about not wanting to go and she talked about her teacher and her friends all the time at home.  She also learned a ton!

For my memory’s sake, I had to bring out the little printed sign and put Savannah in the same outfit that she wore on her first day this year.  I wanted to be able to compare.  She’s grown so much that I can hardly believe it!

Her bangs have grown out and the dress is definitely shorter!

We’ve been enjoying a slower pace in the mornings on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I know she’ll be ready to head back in the fall.  Until then though, I’m going to soak up every day and memory that this summer has to offer!

Anyone else get emotional at the end of the year?
