Homemade Snow Ice Cream

February 18, 2015 by Sarah

This recipe for snow ice cream will bring you right back to your childhood. Check it out and make some the next time it snows!

{Note:  This post contains affiliate links. Read disclosure here.} I am not a cold weather person.  I'm just not.  The way I like to enjoy the cold and snowy weather is under a blanket, sitting by a nice warm fire, sipping on hot cocoa or a cup of coffee...or any combination of those. But, being that I'm married to a teacher, I still LOVE a snow day!  And since we experienced one yesterday and … [Read more...]

Ways We Save: Eating Leftovers

February 17, 2015 by Sarah

I am completely aware that this week's Ways We Save post may not interest anyone.  After all, I am a normal person.  Just because you have to live on The Teacher's Salary doesn't mean that you enjoy every aspect of frugal living.  :-) But, one of the best ways we save money is by eating leftovers.  There you have it.  It's not glamorous and I don't always want to do it, … [Read more...]

How to Make Your Own Laundry Detergent

February 11, 2015 by Sarah

On Tuesdays, I thought it would be fun to do a Ways We Save series.  As with most series on this blog, I have no idea how long it will last.  I'm not that organized.  :-) You'll find lots of budget-related or general money-saving posts in my The Teacher's Salary series, but these upcoming posts will be specific ways we save in the day-to-day.  They might be big or small, but hopefully they will … [Read more...]

My Favorite Baby Items {0-3 Months}

February 7, 2015 by Sarah

{Note:  This post contains affiliate links.  Read disclosure here.} As our littlest grows, I thought it would be fun to do some posts highlighting my favorite baby items.  My plan is to write about my very favorite/most-used baby items during each stage.  This week, we're starting with the newborn phase {0-3 months}. Keep in mind that I've become more of a minimalist with the addition of each … [Read more...]
