Cleft Palate Repair Surgery: 2 Years Later

July 14, 2015 by Sarah

On Monday morning, my little guy and I had a date downtown.  I wish I could say that we enjoyed a really fun outing together doing something that we both really enjoyed, but that simply wasn't the case.  Our time was still fun, but we spent the morning together at the children's hospital for his follow up at the Craniofacial clinic. In the day to day of life with three little ones, I often … [Read more...]

A Torn Heart

November 20, 2013 by Sarah

On Monday of this week, we made our semi-annual trek to the Children's Hospital of Richmond for Brady's Craniofacial Clinic appointment.  Although we've seen some of the doctors somewhat recently after his cleft palate repair surgery back in June, he's changed so much since then that I was looking forward to their evaluation. It’ll Be Alright

August 20, 2013 by Sarah

Today started out pretty promising.  I woke up and was ready for the day before the kids woke for probably the first time all summer long.  {Have I mentioned that I've loved having Kev at home in the mornings this summer?}  Bed was even made.  Basing things on the start to my day alone, things were gonna be alright. The Surgery Rundown

June 29, 2013 by Sarah

After sleeping for maybe about 4 hours, I woke up to my alarm immediately!  I was so nervous that I'd oversleep and arrive late to the hospital, so it seemed like I slept with one eye open.  Anyone else do that when you have to be somewhere really early in the morning? Our bags were packed and we were as ready as we were ever gonna be.  We woke Brady … [Read more...]
