Ways We Save: Never Pay for Demo

April 21, 2015 by Sarah

A few weeks ago, I talked about how there are times when it might be best to hire a professional for home projects.  As much as I like to save money and do as much of it as we can ourselves, there are times with it might be best to hire it out.  If you decide to hire the job out to a pro, there is still a great way you can save.  Do the demo yourself! When we renovated our home back in 2012, … [Read more...]

When to Hire a Professional for Home Projects

March 18, 2015 by Sarah

Weekday Weekend

July 23, 2013 by Sarah

It's been an adjustment this summer to have Kev's days off be right in the middle of the week.  It's not a problem really, but it's just completely different than the way things roll around here during the school year.  His schedule this summer has looked more like work Friday-Monday, with his days off Tuesday-Thursday.  I have enjoyed that his days off are consecutive, so we still … [Read more...]

How was your Tuesday?  Mine was good, but a little unexciting.  That's okay though.  As I mentioned yesterday, I started off my week a little behind, so it's meant playing catch up!  I hate that! My family decided to come to Richmond tomorrow instead of today, which actually worked out for the best for all of us.  They had a lot going on in Baltimore and sort of needed … [Read more...]

Tim…ber!

June 21, 2013 by Sarah

Earlier this week, our house was probably quite the sight for all the cars on our busy street!  With this being Kev's first week off and his father being in town (and the help of a dear friend), it was the perfect time for a tree to come down. Kev and I have been discussing all the trees on our property for months now, and sometimes the conversations got a little "exciting."  He … [Read more...]
