I’m working on Savannah’s 3 month old post (she turned 3 months old on Thursday), but this weekend has been all about preparing for my nephew’s arrival on Monday. We travelled up to Baltimore on Friday and Savannah and I will be up here until Thursday morning (Kevin has to head home earlier to get back to work).
I wanted to take a moment and ask for any of you readers to please be praying. My sister will be admitted to the hospital on Monday morning at 7am. The plan is to take her back at 9am for her C-section. To say she is ready for this pregnancy to be over is an understatement. I’m sure you mommies can understand how it feels when you are 39 weeks and you’re pregnancy has not been easy emotionally. She has been through a lot – watching me loose Andrew so late in my pregnancy and having difficulty getting pregnant for the second time only to be followed by an early miscarriage. Needless to say, we are all ready for this miracle baby to be here. We are all ready to meet little Matthew Reagan!
Please pray for a good night’s sleep for my sister tonight.
Please pray for an uneventful C-section tomorrow morning.
Please pray for a strong, healthy baby boy to come out crying loud and proud tomorrow morning!
Please pray that the Lord’s presence would be with everyone tomorrow, and even now as we count down to the big event!
Just the other day, I listened to my sister explain how C-sections usually work (she had to have an emergency C-section with my niece MacKenzie 6 years ago) since I have never had one. When listening to her, I was overwhelmed with emotion, to the point of shedding a few tears. The easiest way to explain it is just to say that I’m so happy for her. I’m so happy in general. I know she is still struggling with anxiety even in these last few hours (which I understand completely), but I have let all the protective walls down and am just downright excited! Thanks in advance for your prayers! We appreciate it so very much!
