And He Has a Name!

I was all excited to watch the 11 o’clock news tonight in order to hear the latest happenings across the pond with the new Royal Baby name being revealed.  But, some doom and gloom stories took precedent and then they cut it short by 15 minutes in order to do a special report about the Redskins Training Camp countdown.  This is important news to us Richmonders, right?!!  Not so much in the Eddins house!  {Go Ravens!}

Despite not getting to see the official news break myself, I heard the important news from my sister over the phone today while strolling the aisles at Walmart.  Multi-tasking, I tell you!

George Alexander Louis

It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?  It certainly wasn’t what I would have chosen (but you probably guessed that since we used Andrew Ryan and Brady Wayne for both of our sons), but it’s not terrible.  It’s rather formal if you ask me, but then again, this is the future king that we’re talking about here!  And it’s not like they didn’t have the Queen of England breathing down their neck about keeping up with tradition.  Geez, talk about pressure!

I thought Kate and William’s introduction of the baby was precious yesterday.  Kate looked as stunning and classy as ever (but should we have expected anything less from her?) and her motherly instincts were kicking in immediately as she gently passed off little George to Prince William.  How cute was William trying to click the Britax baby carrier into the Range Rover while the entire world was watching?  You did good, Dad!

I’ve always had a fascination with the Royals, but I just adore this little family so much {I was glued to the TV screen the day they got married}!  They seem as real and down to earth as any future heirs can be, which is so endearing.  I hope and pray for the Lord’s guidance as they raise that little boy.  No matter our status in life, it’s only by His grace that any of us parents get even a smidge of this parenting thing right!

And just for the record, if it wasn’t for the fact that I know Kate Middleton had her stylist on hand, I’d be down right jealous of how good she looked!  Nobody looks that good 24 hours after having a baby unless they have a little bit of help.  🙂
