My 15 Goals for 2014 {January Update}
Happy Monday!
I don’t know about you, but we had a super busy weekend. It was filled with lots of fun things and I’m definitely tired, but it was great and totally worth it!
Since January has officially come and gone, I figured it was time for an update on my yearly goals. It wasn’t a terrible month, but I definitely could have done better.
Victories
– Kev and I enjoyed our at-home date night and I blogged about some of my tips in THIS post.
– The kids and I had a play date earlier in the month with a friend from small group. I probably enjoyed it as much as they did. Time with other moms is so good for me!
– I’m currently reading 2 books, but I need to get back to them and finish them up!
– We are setting aside money for #13 and #14 and it’s looking like we’ll get a decent tax refund, which will help a lot. The Lord is providing!
Challenges
– For about a week, I did well getting to bed earlier and getting up before the kids. Going out of town and then our weekend at the youth retreat totally wore me out and it’s taken some time to get back in the groove. I will keep working on it because I know it will help.
– I totally failed in the exercise department. I visited the YMCA to get some prices for memberships, but I don’t feel right spending the money on it when we need to put that money aside for other things. I need to brainstorm and get creative with this since I don’t have much extra money or extra time!
– I still need to work on planning out my blog posts. Kev offered to watch the kids for me one Saturday so I can get alone and devote some uninterrupted time on my blog and I plan to take him up on it very soon. If I can get ahead of things a bit, then I think it will be much easier to balance blogging and my other responsibilities.
