Hey friends! It’s Saturday so that means it’s another week of Ways We Save Saturday – where I share all the small and simple ways we save money throughout the week. Here goes!

1. Stuck to my menu for the entire week
Meal time went really well this week, which helped me save money by not eating out! I mentioned creating my menu in last week’s post, but I was happy because I actually stuck to it! I tried a new crockpot recipe (we liked it!) and I’m looking forward to trying a new sheet pan supper early next week. (I have started doing my menu and grocery shopping on Thursdays, so my menu runs accordingly).
2. Bought two books from Goodwill
I stopped into Goodwill looking for some cheap frames to up cycle, but ended up finding two brand new children’s bible story books for $2.25 a piece. I think I’m going to include them in Easter baskets this year. We have one Jesus Storybook Bible, but I think I’m going to let my daughter have one for her own room since she can read on her own. I don’t know anything about the Adventure Bible Storybook, but I’m hoping it’ll be a fun addition to our collection!
3. Hemmed curtains for my daughter’s room
I finally finished this up! I’ve shared a bit of the saga over on Instagram Stories, but I don’t know if I’ve shared it here.
We removed my daughter’s closet doors and decided to use white panels instead (we live in a cape style home with slanted ceilings and the doors always banged up the ceiling). I originally used hem tape, but I must have measured wrong because they were too long. I decided to bust out my sewing machine and just hem the old-fashioned way. They look much better now that they are the proper length! Stay tuned for her room reveal!
4. Ordered clothes from Old Navy using credit card rewards
I follow a couple of fashion blogs and I’ve recently been adding some items to my cart at Old Navy. I have some extra birthday money to spend, so I decided to bite the bullet and place an order! I had $50 in credit card rewards and I already get free shipping, so I wound up saving 50% off my order. I’m hoping this shirt looks as cute on me as it does online!
5. Used ebates to place my Old Navy order
Another way I saved on my Old Navy order was by using ebates. I logged into my ebates account, made the purchase through their site, and then had 4% credited back. Once I reach the threshold, they’ll send me a check! It’s such a simple and easy way to earn cash back on purchases I’m going to make anyway!
Well, there you have it! I hope you have a great weekend!
