Andrew’s Story: Post-Partum Visit & Autopsy Results

September 12, 2009 by Sarah

Today was my post-partum visit with the OB. I had some mixed emotions going into the appointment, especially since the last time I was in that office was when we found out the terrible news about our little Andrew. When I sat in the waiting room to be called back, I was sort of in a daze. There were at least 3 women who looked to be very far along in their pregnancies, and part of me really wished … [Read more...]

Praise You In This Storm

September 10, 2009 by Sarah

I have missed Andrew terribly the past couple of days. Every day, I make a point to look at his pictures, as they are all I have of him these days. Kevin and I were talking tonight as we were riding home from youth group that Andrew will always be a part of us and our family. No matter how many kids we end up raising, he will always be a part of me and our family unit. Andrew has changed … [Read more...]

Andrew’s Story: Stillbirthday Story

September 7, 2009 by Sarah

It's hard to believe that I gave birth to Andrew a month ago today.  The day didn't look quite like Kevin and I pictured it. I've wanted to share Andrew's birth story since the moment we had him {What proud Mama wouldn't?}, but the first month since his stillbirth have been a whirlwind and I just haven't had a chance to sit down to write it all out. Before I get to all that … [Read more...]

Andrew’s Story: The Final Days

September 4, 2009 by Sarah

So I'm back in Richmond after a great week in Baltimore with my family. I rode back with my parents and my niece, MacKenzie, since they had already planned to come down this weekend for my grandmother's birthday. It's nice to be back home, but I've sort of been in a funk today. I've been missing Andrew a lot today. I'm not 100% sure why it hit me today specifically. I made a comment to my mom … [Read more...]

Andrew’s Story: Third Trimester

September 3, 2009 by Sarah

With our one month mark quickly approaching, I figured I might as well finish out my recap of my pregnancy with Andrew. The third trimester definitely went by the slowest for me. My belly continued to grow (and so did my stretch marks!), I had trouble sleeping for the first time EVER, and heartburn began to set in! Not to mention needing to use the bathroom CONSTANTLY. These negatives that go … [Read more...]
