A Good Gift?

September 3, 2009 by Sarah

So I'm back in Maryland this week, helping my sister paint her guest room/soon to be nursery, and just enjoying some time with my family. My sister is adopting a baby soon and she wanted me to help her get her room ready before the social worker comes for their final visit. With Kevin busy planning for school to begin, it has worked out well for me to be up here this week. From what he's told me, … [Read more...]

A Letter from Ba-Ba

August 29, 2009 by Sarah

A week or so ago, my father called me on the way home from work to check in on me. He told me that he had written both Andrew and I a letter and that he had planned to mail them to me. I immediately broke down out of both joy and sadness. Andrew’s Story: Second Trimester & A Polycystic Kidney

August 25, 2009 by Sarah

I don't have all that much to report today, but I still want to post something. This morning was tough. For some reason, the tears just started flowing and didn't seem to want to stop. Crying is good for me though, so I actually embrace … [Read more...]

Back to Reality

August 24, 2009 by Sarah

So we're back in Richmond after a relaxing time at Deep Creek Lake! We had a great time of rest and relaxation, but it's also nice to be back at home. It was so nice to get away, but I know that I can't escape my new reality forever, so I was sort of anxious to just get back home and face it after some time away. Here are a couple of pictures from our time away. When we got back … [Read more...]

Weekend Away

August 21, 2009 by Sarah

Right now, I'm sitting at an internet cafe at Deep Creek Lake in MD. I had no idea that Kevin and I would end up getting a weekend away after all. I'm definitely a vacation person and normally have at least one scheduled each summer. We weren't able to squeeze one in this summer with Kevin teaching summer school and Andrew's due date being right in between summer school and the regular school … [Read more...]
