Frugal Fashion Friday – Skinny Jeans With Ballet Flats Take Two

October 5, 2013 by Sarah

I was so annoyed with last week’s outfit post that I wanted to give my skinny jeans and ballet flats combo another try this week.

This time, I went for a black and white striped t-shirt underneath a salmon colored cardigan.  I liked the stripe underneath the bright colored top.

 Against the opinion of both my mother and sister, I decided to wear my green necklace with it to add a little more excitement.  {For the record, they liked the necklace but weren’t sure about how it would go with my cardigan.}

I was going to wear my new nude patent leather ballet flats because I was so excited about them, but I decided to go with my zebra print ones instead for more flair – ha!

Here’s the breakdown on the outfit:
******************************

Black striped t-shirt: Old Navy
3/4 Sleeve Cardigan:  Old Navy
Skinny jeans:  Old Navy
Shoes:  Payless
Necklace:  Target {given to me by a sweet blog friend- thanks Kristin!}
Earrings:  Target

    I like it! I used to think that I needed to be "matchy" with my jewelry – but I see all the time people wearing different colors and it looks great! I like this combo! 🙂

    I think greens go very well with coral-type colors! I definitely like wearing black and white patterns accented with bright colors too! (Of course, the way my mind works, more colors= automatically better) 😛
