Frugal Fashion Friday – Christmas Eve Outfit

December 27, 2013 by Sarah

Christmas Eve service can go either way at our church.  Some folks like to dress up to the nine’s while others like to keep it more casual.  I was so tired by the time Christmas Eve came that I was definitely in a more casual mood.
In all honesty, if we hadn’t been lighting the Christ candle for advent, then I probably would have showed up in jeans.  But, since we would be in front of the church, I figured I had better at least wear something other than denim.
Here’s what I ended up wearing.  It was actually quite comfortable, but I felt like it was dressy enough. {Please excuse the random wispy on my forehead – how annoying!}

I decided to wear a pair of khaki pants with my long red shirt.  It’s almost required to wear red at a Christmas Ever service, right?
I decided to layer on my denim blazer and black/white houndstooth scarf.
I wore some black flats {with grey socks for warmth} and my sparkly hoop earrings.
Here’s the breakdown on the outfit:
{including some of the prices I recall paying}

Top: NY & Co.
Tank: NY & Co.
Denim Blazer: Ann Taylor Loft {found at a yardsale for $5}
Pants: NY & Co.
Shoes: Target

Earrings: Target – $3.58 {clearance price in store}

Happy Frugal Fashion Friday, friends!
