Surgery Day

June 26, 2013 by Sarah

Well, here we are.  It's about midnight as I'm typing, which means today is the big day!  Today, I was definitely not myself.  I wasn't in a bad mood or anything like that, but I just felt a little off.  I got out in the afternoon to run some errands and it all just hit me.  For months now, this has been a distant reality, but today it finally set in.  I cried a … [Read more...]

Too Many Miles

June 25, 2013 by Sarah

Kev's family started the trek back home to Mississippi on Saturday.  We were all a little bummed and deflated to see them drive off.  Savannah even shed some tears when she realized that she couldn't get in the car with them.  When you live so far away from each other, the goodbyes are even harder because we never know exactly when we will see each other again.  It's … [Read more...]

School is Out & Father’s Day 2013

June 18, 2013 by Sarah

Is it just me or does it feel like summer is flying by so far!  Someone please make it stop!! The kids and I got back to Richmond just in time to prepare for some fun visitors from Mississippi.  As Savannah said goodbye to her Mimi and BaBa, we explained to her that she would get to see her Maw Maw and Paw Paw from Mississippi!  They arrived on Saturday evening, … [Read more...]
