Heavy Heart

October 18, 2009 by Sarah

My heart is heavy today. Perhaps the rainy, dreary weather has made it worse, but I'm just in a funk today. I've had some good moments during the day, but I just can't seem to snap out of this gloomy mood I'm in. I guess that's the crazy thing about grief - it's not something you can really control. I just got back from a quick trip to MD to have a meal with my family. We met up at Texas … [Read more...]

Simply Beautiful

October 16, 2009 by Sarah

Thanks to all of you who lit candles yesterday in honor of our son, Andrew, as well as the other babies who are deeply missed. As a mother without her child here, it means the world that they are remembered. We appreciate the continued prayers and support. I don't have anything major to share tonight, but I did want to post some of my favorite pictures of our little guy. I was looking … [Read more...]

I yearn to find more ways to honor our son as well as the other little babies who … [Read more...]

Fireproof

October 12, 2009 by Sarah

Kevin suggested we watch a movie last night and he randomly pulled out Fireproof from our ever growing DVD collection. I was a little surprised he picked that one, as he tends to pick the historical or action flicks, but I was pleased nonetheless (and not just because Kirk Cameron is in it!). We popped it in and by the end, we were both tearing up. I love my sensitive hubby! :-) I balled … [Read more...]

Lunch Date

October 9, 2009 by Sarah

I'm missing Andrew today (nothing new there, huh?). A few weeks ago, my sister asked me some questions about the missing. She asked me whether I actually missed Andrew or just missed not having a child to raise. I tried to explain that, for me, it's both because they are one in the same. I miss feeling his kicks and squirms inside my womb. I miss his companionship for those 9 months. I … [Read more...]
